Innovative Pasture Solutions for Your Farm

Discover Nilo Grass: The Biotechnological Breakthrough with Nutritional Benefits and Flood Tolerance.

About Us

Dr. Silvana Ferrari Usandizaga researches the genetic and morphological characterization of Acroceras macrum and its forage potential under waterlogging conditions. Her work covers phenotypic and molecular diversity (Ferrari Usandizaga, 2012, 2015), demonstrating productivity improvements with selected genetic material (Ferrari Usandizaga et al., 2015, 2017) and examining reproductive mechanisms and adaptation to abiotic stress, highlighting the importance of biofertilization (Ferrari Usandizaga et al., 2019, 2021). In her most recent studies, she selects hybrids with superior water tolerance, strengthening forage availability and laying the foundation for the genetic improvement of the species (Ferrari Usandizaga et al., 2023).

Our Goal

riving the sustainable production of Nilo Grass by merging biotechnological innovation with a passion for agriculture. Transforming it into a high-quality forage that enhances resilience in waterlogged soils, boosting more productive and environmentally friendly livestock systems.
